Hello IT Professionals,
This message is to inform you of a User Interface change to the Adobe Creative Cloud [1] Desktop Application that will begin rolling out on Saturday October 12. This change is rather significant and we didn’t want you to be caught off guard when the change occurs. This update will be automatically pushed out to all installations of CC 2019. It is a rolling update, so computers will pick it up at different times throughout the day on October 12.
There are some key new features in this update:
- The new app installs and launches faster
- More easily view your installed apps and any updates required on improved user interface
- Learn more about your apps– and apps you are interested in– from Product Detail pages that include overviews, key features, OS compatibility, links to tutorials, and more
- Access resources– fonts, tutorials, Behance– from the desktop app
- ‘Your work’ provides an easier way to manage your Creative Cloud Libraries. You can add, create, organize and share your files and assets like you’re used to –but on a larger canvas
- Send a mobile app download link directly to your mobile or email, making downloading new apps easier than ever
- Browse, activate and manage fonts
- In-app ‘Search’ bar returns search results across categories including Help, Apps and ‘Your Work’
- Quickly see how much storage you have (please note that there is no change to existing experience)
- Customize preferences to enable automatic updates, launch Creative Cloud at login, enable notifications, and more (please note that existing preferences will carry over into the new desktop app)
- This new interface is included and deployed with Named User and Shared Device Licensing packages. These instances will get auto updated to the CCDA version if the machines meet the system requirements of CCDA.
A sample of the new UI is included below (this is subject to change prior to the production release):
As always, we’ll continue to provide timely communication/additional information to this list concerning future service updates.
