Fishers-based Haven, an IU-funded developer of a free mobile and Web app that allows busy homeowners to maintain their property remotely, recently received $1.03 million in seed funding.
The Innovate Indiana Fund, Elevate Ventures and 16 angel investors provided funds the company will use to triple its eight-person staff, conduct marketing efforts, and enhance its product known by the same name, company officials said.
Haven intuitively tracks routine home maintenance items and can also summon quick response for events such as a water leak or storm damage. When maintenance services are required, Haven users can obtain instant pricing information, schedule an appointment with a pre-approved contractor, and pay for it within the app.
Two of Haven’s co-founders, Jim Brown and Joe Wanninger (scroll to the bottom of the linked page) are graduates of Indiana University in Bloomington. Read more about Haven here:
