The School of Business and Economics at IU East recently formed a Business Advisory Council that includes business leaders throughout the Richmond area and key IU officials.
The council, which held its inaugural meeting Nov. 18, will gather input on IU East academic programs, connect students with businesses and organizations throughout the region and help the school maintain the relevance and currency of its curriculum in light of regional economic development needs.
“I’m very excited to be working with such a committed and enthusiastic group of business and community leaders, said Robert Mulligan, dean of the School of Business and Economics and a member of IU’s Council for Regional Engagement and Economic Development (CREED). “It’s just overwhelming that they’re so supportive to volunteer their time and experience to help improve our business education programs and better leverage them for the region.”
