B-Start, a pre-accelerator program for early-stage technology companies run by Indiana University Bloomington and Ivy Tech Community College Bloomington students, begins its second year this fall and will begin accepting applications August 29.
Launched by the Bloomington Economic Development Corp. and supported in part by Innovate Indiana, B-Start involves a four-week program throughout October and November in which six to 10 startup businesses are chosen for mentorship and coaching sessions, consultations, informational programs and a pitch day competition in early 2017.
While much of B-Start’s schedule remains tentative for this fall, the following key dates are upcoming:
- Aug. 29-Sept. 16: B-Start applications are accepted.
- Sept. 19-23: Interviews for selection to 2016-17 B-Start cohort;
- Sept. 29: Program kickoff and reception event.
Interviews for B-Start and the kickoff/reception will take place at BEDC, 1720 N. Kinser Pike in Bloomington. Stay tuned to the Crimson Catalyst or BEDC website for additional details.
