Teams of Indiana University students won first and second place in the inaugural HackIN reverse engineering/cybersecurity hackathon conducted by the Indiana Innovation Institute and Booz Allen Hamilton. The three-day event tested software and hardware skills.
The first-place team of Vafa Andalibi, DongInn Kim, Hongbo Chen and Yifan Zhang won $4,000. The second-place team of Dmitrii Galantsev, Adam Martin and Jadon Berghorst won $2,000.
Nearly 100 students from Indiana colleges, universities and other organizations participated in the event, which took place at Launch Indy in Indianapolis.
