AT&T-Indiana recently confirmed that its 2018 IoT Civic Hackathon will take place April 20-21 at Launch Fishers, 12175 Visionary Way, Fishers, 46038. Faculty, staff, students and alumni of all Indiana University campuses are invited to participate in this free event.
Bill Soards, president of AT&T-Indiana, wrote the following message to promote the event:
Friends,
AT&T is excited to host #IoTCivicHack at Launch Fishers for the third consecutive year — but especially to help christen the new Indiana IoT Lab next door with its first hackathon!
This year’s event will focus on public safety. In partnership with FirstNet, the nation’s first responder network authority, we’ll dedicate 24 hours of innovation to benefit our first responders.
We’ll have speakers, food, networking opportunities, prizes and more as we offer three major challenge areas for teams to compete for the best public safety innovations: IoT, mobile app development and data visualization tools.
As always, we’ll be looking for sponsors, attendees and promoters to help us spread the word! Materials are being developed, and I’ll have more details soon.”
