This Friday, researchers from Indiana University, Purdue University and IUPUI will come together in Indianapolis for the Indiana Sensors and Electronics Collaborative, a strategic workshop set from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Purdue Technology Center, located at 5225 Exploration Drive.
Both Purdue and IU will serve as co-conveners for the event, which seeks to identify a number of opportunities for joint investigations in projects that forward the development of sensor and electronics technology.
Improvements in the reliability, durability and overall quality of sensors and electronics are a key emphasis for research partners such as Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane, which increasingly rely on such equipment to give U.S. military forces a tactical advantage against potential adversaries.
Friday’s event arrives about a week after representatives from IU, Purdue, IUPUI and other institutions attended 2016 Innovation Crossover, an event sponsored by NSWC Crane at the Bloomington/Monroe County Convention Center.
