Tony Armstrong, President and CEO of the Indiana University Research and Technology Corp., will speak at a meeting of The Alliance: A Forum of Indiana Business Leaders on Friday, September 16 in French Lick, Ind.
The Alliance is a group of senior executives of privately held firms based in Indiana. It was created as part of Indiana University’s Johnson Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation in 1990. Since 2005, it has been affiliated with IU’s Kelley School of Business and Butler University’s Andre B. Lacy School of Business.
“I’ll be speaking with The Alliance about what IURTC is doing around the state to fulfill its mission to protect, market and license intellectual property developed at Indiana University so it can be commercialized by industry,” Armstrong said. “I’ll share some results from the past fiscal year and how it impacts the university’s international reputation and economic development in the state.”
Armstrong said the meeting will benefit both The Alliance and IURTC.
“My goals for the meeting are to solicit opinions from these business leaders on how IURTC might be able to improve and to answer questions about how IURTC may be able to help their businesses grow,” he said.
