As the healthcare industry’s “fee for service” model gradually gives way to revenues generated through outcomes and agreements focused on wellness and prevention, how will this impact the development of innovative new products and intellectual property?
To gain a better grasp on this dilemma, the Center for the Business of Life Sciences at IU’s Kelley School of Business will hold a Feb. 19 session titled “The Continuing Disruption of Healthcare and Life Sciences Business Models.” The event will run from 8 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. at the OneAmerica Tower at One American Square in Indianapolis.
The session is part of the Indiana Life Sciences Collaboration Conferences Series, with Innovate Indiana serving as a primary sponsor. The keynote speaker will be Dr. Harry Greenspun, director of the Deloitte Center for Health Solutions. Greenspun is a former chief medical officer for Dell Inc. and Northrop Grumman Corp., and is co-author of “Re-engineering Health Care: A Manifesto for Radically Rethinking Care Delivery.”
An agenda for the day’s events is available here. Registration information for the $175 event is available here. Full-time students can qualify for discounts.
