Aspiring entrepreneurs from the Bloomington area will convene at IU’s Cyberinfrastructure Building at 6 p.m. Friday for a three-day event known as Startup Weekend, where they will learn the basics about launching a promising company.

Sponsored in part by Innovate Indiana and the Innovate Indiana Fund, the conference is in its sixth year of providing the time, space, knowledge and resources to help potential entrepreneurs get their start.

The event is open to all comers — students and community members alike — and offers the opportunity to work with local CEOs, founders, investors and veterans of startup launches who will advise product teams. Student tickets are $25; public tickets are $40.
