DiMarchi to keynote, Kelley to be honored at Innovation to Enterprise event set for Nov. 4

One of Indiana University’s most distinguished researchers, Richard DiMarchi, will serve as keynote speaker for the IUPUI Innovation to Enterprise Forum & Showcase set for Wednesday, Nov. 4 at the IUPUI Campus Center Theater.

The event highlights the research and creative successes of IU faculty, scientists and students, which will be featured during a showcase and networking reception at 3:30 p.m. Check-in begins at 1:30 p.m., followed by introductions at 2 p.m. and DiMarchi’s address at 2:10 p.m.

Receiving the 2015 Innovation to Enterprise Award will be Mark R. Kelley, founder and chief scientific officer of ApeX Therapeutics, a company focused on the treatment of pancreatic cancer. Kelley is currently the Betty and Earl Herr Chair in pediatric oncology and a professor in the IU School of Medicine’s departments of biochemistry and molecular biology and pharmacology & toxicology. He serves as associate director for both the Herman B Wells Center for Pediatric Research and basic science research at IU’s Simon Center Center.

DiMarchi is the Cox Distinguished Professor of Biochemistry and Gill Chair in Biomolecular Sciences at Indiana University. He is also co-founder and a board member of Assembly Biosciences, Ambrx and Marcadia, as well as a co-founder of Calibrium Biotech.

The event will be hosted by the IUPUI’s Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research and the Indiana University Research & Technology Corporation (IURTC). For registration information, click here.
