For the fourth year, the Indiana Health Industry Forum (IHIF) — a statewide association that represents members of Indiana’s health science community — will have a presence at the BIO International Convention, which is scheduled for June 15-18 in Philadelphia, Pa.
The BIO International Convention touts itself as the world’s largest annual gathering in the biotechnology industry. Last year, with San Diego as the host city, the event drew more than 15,600 attendees from 66 nations and all 50 states. In addition to education programs, networking events, company presentations and exhibition booths, featured speakers include National Institutes of Health Director Francis Collins, journalist Tom Brokaw, cardiologist and digital medicine expert Dr. Eric Topol, leukemia researcher Dr. Carl June and jazz musician Wynton Marsalis.
IHIF will be located at Booth No. 3401 at the Philadelphia Convention Center, where from 2-3 p.m. on Tuesday (June 16), representatives of Innovate Indiana from the Indiana University Research and Technology Corp. will be on hand to meet attendees. Innovate Indiana also serves as a booth sponsor for the event, along with Indy Partnership, Diversity Accords, Purdue University/Discovery Park and the Global Pain Initiative.
