Five million dollars awarded to the Indiana Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute (CTSI) by the Indiana Economic Development Corp. will be used to launch a molecular therapeutics program, a program that connects industry mentors to entrepreneur researchers and create an academic research commercialization hub for Indiana.
Some of the money also will be used to expand Indiana CTSI’s project development team to Indiana University Bloomington, Purdue University and the University of Notre Dame — and to expand its clinical trials office.
“This investment in the Indiana CTSI by the Indiana Economic Development Corp. demonstrates the state’s commitment to supporting Indiana’s critically important life sciences industry. These funds will be key to strengthening the CTSI mission to bring Indiana scientists’ discoveries to the marketplace and to patient care.”
— Bill Stephan, Vice President for Engagement, Indiana University
