Small business owners and persons launching a business who want to learn more about “social entrepreneurship” are invited to a free workshop on Friday, March 13, at Indiana University Northwest in Gary.
Led by Subir Bandyopadhyay, professor of marketing at IU Northwest’s School of Business and Economics, the 10 a.m to 2 p.m. session will provide an overview of social entrepreneurship, help attendees develop their own social entrepreneurial efforts, develop relations between small business owners and entrepreneurship students, and promote internship and employment opportunities.
The workshop will take place in Room 2158 of the Dunes Medical/Professional Building at at 3400 Broadway. It is sponsored in part by Innovate Indiana and offered by IU Northwest’s Center for Urban and Regional Excellence, its School of Business and Economics and the Northwest Indiana Small Business Development Center.
