IU’s Council on Regional Engagement and Economic Development (CREED), comprised of chancellor-appointed representatives from each IU campus, will convene today at the IUPUI Campus Center.
The meetings enable CREED representatives to provide updates on economic development-related activities across each campus, fostering greater communication, knowledge transfer, and sharing of best practices to promote statewide economic development.
Coordinated by IU’s Office of the Vice President for Engagement, CREED plays an instrumental role identifying, through ongoing dialogue, ways in which IU can bring its resources to bear to enhance regional economic development efforts throughout the state.
The Regional Economic Development (RED) Fund serves as a prime example of this impact. Managed by CREED, the RED Fund provides dollar-for-dollar matching funds to support worthy qualifying proposals fostering regional economic development as submitted by campus affiliated schools, centers, and organizations.
