On February 14, the ILS department hosted a craft and movie night where students could make valentines while watching The Princess Bride. Despite being after-hours on a Friday evening, the event was well attended. Provided with a table full of paper, stickers, scissors, and heat-shaped dollies, attendees were invited to make cards for their loved ones or bring their own craft projects to work on during the movie. Conversation hearts, popcorn, and soda were also available for the students. With Valentine’s Day decorations to set the mood, participants enjoyed the classic romance, the daring actions of unlikely heroes, and the hilarity that ensues. Whether the film was familiar or a new experience, attendees reported high spirits and good times. Of course, not loving The Princess Bride is absolutely inconceivable.
