Since, technology changes quickly, the end goal of K200 Microcomputer Applications in Kinesiology is to create students who can learn and master new technology. K200 prepares students for their future academic and professional careers.
To facilitate student learning, K200 provides hands on experience with computers and software. Student learn the basics of and practice using hardware and software, and microcomputer programs. Programs covered are in a Windows environment, including word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation, audio and video file editing for podcasting, the World Wide Web (WWW), and Website development. In addition, students will access the IU computing resources for current and future classroom use.
Honors students will create their own individual semester projects with the guidance of the instructor. These projects are focused on building student portfolios for future academic and professional use.
Think of K200 as “computer boot camp”. Students will be buff with computer skills when done with this class.
