Besides classroom discussions and tutorials, field trips and guest lectures in copyright/fair use, film restoration and the use of Indiana University Archives will be covered.
During the semester, you will learn the basics on how to find, acquire and digitize archival media used to create visual projects (photo essays, documentary films and websites). Through class lessons and tutorials, you will apply these skills through short exercises and practical projects. Hands-on work will be completed using personal devices (smart phone, tablet, digital camera).
