We are pleased to announce a new summer research program for undergraduate students that will be offered this summer in the Department of Biochemistry & Molecular Biophysics at Washington University in Saint Louis. This will be an eight week research program focused in the areas of Molecular Biochemistry and Biophysics. Research areas in our department range from single-molecule spectroscopy to molecular simulations to mitochondrial biochemistry. As well as conducting research, students will also attend workshops that cover various important areas in science, including how to design experiments, how to read papers, scientific communication, and guidance on graduate school applications.
No prior research experience is required, and we are strongly encouraging applicants from diverse backgrounds to apply. Travel to Saint Louis, housing, local travel, a meal plan, and an additional monthly stipend of $2000 will be provided (total of $4000 for the 8-week program).
We are very excited to offer this summer program for current undergraduate students. This is a valuable opportunity for any students that might be interested in a career in research. Our program flyer has all of the information on how to apply. Applications are due by April 15th.
