Please consider supporting this new club at IU!
The Ocean & Marine Conservation Club at Indiana University is hosting its very first fundraising event, Reef Relief! We will be working in collaboration with The Coral Reef Alliance in an effort to save our oceans by selling reusable stainless-steel straws. By encouraging our community to use sustainable straws, we will be decreasing plastic waste in addition to donating all proceeds to a great cause.
The Coral Reef Alliance is one of the largest global NGOs and leaders in the science of coral reef conservation and is committed to reducing threats to coral reefs by promoting healthy fisheries, preventing habitat destruction, and monitoring water quality. Coral reefs are not only crucial to marine life ecosystems, but play various roles in our everyday lives by providing jobs for local communities, acting as a source of food and new medicine, protecting coastlines from storms and erosion, and much more. With your small contribution, we can make a difference.
