Note: We will be hosting more Direct Admit information sessions next semester
Janet L. Hein, the Director of Admissions will explain how IU Bloomington seniors (for Fall 2022) or juniors (for Fall 2023) may apply for this program without having to take the LSAT! Freshman and sophomores are also welcome to attend.
Through this unique program, current IU Bloomington undergraduate students with an UGPA of 3.80 or above in any discipline, can be admitted through our Direct Admit Program without needing to take the LSAT, GRE, or any other test. While final scholarship offers are made after a complete file review, we have set aside funding so that students from IU Bloomington, if admitted, can expect to receive a scholarship of half to full-tuition, depending on qualifications.
Requirements to Apply are as follows:
- Have an overall GPA of 3.80 or above (according to Law School Admissions Council UGPA calculations), and expect to maintain that GPA upon graduation.
- Currently be an IU-Bloomington undergraduate student
- Have an ACT or SAT score at the 85th percentile or above* (Indiana Law cannot use a Superscore).
*The ACT / SAT score requirement is put forth by the American Bar Association. Indiana Law, however, encourages applications from those students who meet the GPA requirement but whose adverse personal backgrounds may have prevented them from meeting the required standardized test score percentile. In such cases, applicants are required to provide an addendum describing their adverse backgrounds and how it may have hampered their performance on these standardized exams.
