Sophia Heymans is a contemporary landscape painter who lives and works in Brooklyn, NY. Using natural materials and unusual visual strategies, she attempts to challenge the concept of human dominance over the natural world.
What natural place means the most to you, and why?
Have you ever found a place that made you feel you were truly part of nature?
Is there a way to make art from a non-dominant perspective?
Together we will tell the story of the land instead of the people, and bring your most beloved places to life.
