Research Associate Job
A full-time Research Associate position is available in the laboratory of Professor Andrew C. Zelhof in the Department of Biology at Indiana University Bloomington.
The project addresses a key question of evolutionary-developmental biology within the context of eyes: how are conserved cellular processes modified to produce adaptive transitions within the constraints of constructing a functional tissue? The successful candidate will investigate the molecular, developmental, and cellular mechanism responsible for photoreceptor organization across several species, invertebrates and vertebrate.

Research Associate Job
The Drosophila Genomics Resource Center at Indiana University Bloomington (https://dgrc.bio.indiana.edu/Home) is seeking a Research Associate to join its team.
The DGRC is a dynamic and heavily used repository for Drosophila genomic (DNA vectors and clones) and cell lines that serves researchers worldwide. IUB provides an outstanding intellectual environment for DGRC activities, with more than a dozen research groups using Drosophila for studies in molecular and cell biology, development, neurobiology, physiology, evolution and ecology.
The successful applicant will spend the majority of their time maintaining cell culture stocks, shipping both growing cultures and frozen stocks, supervising of the cell culture room, maintaining inventory, distributing archived DNA molecules, replicating and shipping bulk DNA collections, and preparing plasmids for shipping.
