CISAB scholarships for field courses, internships, + research experiences
CISAB awards two summer scholarships (up to $500 each) per year to aid outstanding Animal Behavior majors at IU Bloomington with the costs of summer field courses, internships, or research experiences in fields relevant to the study of animal behavior. These awards help to defray costs of travel and fees for these experiences.
The criteria for selecting awardees include their academic record, background and interest in the study of animal behavior, and the value of the proposed experience in the student’s study of animal behavior.
Awardees are expected to use funds from the scholarship to help defray costs of travel and fees for summer field courses or internships, and must provide documentation of those costs and of acceptance/enrollment in the course, internship, or research experience to receive the award.
Awards will typically be disbursed via the student’s bursar account. Applications for this award for Summer 2020 will be accepted beginning in January 2020 and will be due by Friday, March 6, 2020, 5pm.
Applicants should request an IU Box folder by emailing cisab@indiana.edu before applying and should indicate the name and email address of the faculty recommender. We will contact your faculty recommender with instructions to upload letters.
