On your mark, get set, and get ready to…. STEP OUT FOR SCIENCE!
As part of biology’s participation in IU Day, we invite you to join us on Wednesday, April 10, at 1:30pm for our “Steppin’ out for science” walk to call attention to the need for travel funds for our students to attend and present at scientific conferences.
The first 250 people* to register for the walk will receive free “Steppin’ out for science” t-shirts (shown below).
You must register HERE by next Friday, March 8th, to be eligible for a t-shirt.
The walk (approximately 3 blocks) will head westward from the front of Jordan Hall and circle around Myers Hall, looping back to the Jordan Hall atrium entrance to join IU Day festivities in the atrium.
IU Biology’s own marathon runners—Olivia Ballew, Cliff Huggins, and Jennifer Lau—and Biology Club co-presidents Jordan Crabtree and Jessy Tang will serve as Grand Marshals for the walk. There is no fee to participate.
And of course put on your own walkin’ shoes and join us from some laps around biology on April 10th.
*You must be faculty, staff, research associate, postdoc, or student within the IUB Department of Biology to be eligible for a t-shirt.
