Dear Animal Behavior Majors:
I am happy to announce that CISAB plans to award two scholarships of up to $500 to Animal Behavior majors this year to help them defray costs of attending a summer field course, participating in a research experience, or conducting an internship at a non-IU site.
Although we envision that recipients would most likely use this scholarship for summer courses or experiences, students enrolling in short courses over other academic breaks are also eligible to apply. The scholarship will be merit based, and the primary criteria are academic record and achievements, the student’s promise for a career in an animal-related field, and the relevance potential for the field course or experience to advance the student’s goals in advancing their training in animal behavior. Please see the documents below for more information about the scholarships, information on how to apply, and an application form:
- 2019 CISAB Summer Scholarship Application Form (Microsoft Word document)
- 2019 CISAB Summer Research Award Instructions (PDF document)
Note that applications will be due no later than Friday, March 8 at 5 pm, and that you should write cisab@indiana.edu well before then to request an IU Box folder for your application and a reference letter from a faculty member.
Sincerely,
Dr. Cara Wellman
Director for the Integrative Study of Animal Behavior, Professor of Psychological and Brain Sciences
