Dr. Kim Rosvall’s lab (https://rosvall.lab.indiana.edu/) has a summer research position available on the genetic and hormonal basis of sex differences in birds, supervised by postdoctoral researcher Dr. Sara Lipshutz. Timeframe for the position is May 20 – July 26, 2019. While the position is unpaid, there is a $3000 research grant that Hutton Honors College students can apply for (https://hutton.indiana.edu/funding/grants/index.html). Potential skills you will learn include molecular techniques like RNA extraction and qPCR, hormonal assays, and data analysis.
