The 2018 Health Professions Week is just around the corner, and registration remains open for prospective health professions students! We’ve got 5 days of exciting activities lined up for attendees to explore 20 health professions. The event kicks off on Monday, November 5 with keynote addresses by two dynamic speakers sure to inspire interested students as they continue on their path to a health care career.
At 2:00 p.m. ET, Mr. LeDerick Horne will provide strategies for increasing the academic performance, self-determination, and self-advocacy skills of students with and without disabilities. At 5:00 p.m. ET, Dr. Christine Grant will provide current and aspiring health professionals with a hands-on set of tools that will help them identify outside their “academic career box” goals and connect with their own set of personal mentors.
As the week continues, students will have the opportunity to take part in events including a health care advocacy panel, Twitter chats, live virtual fairs with professionals and students from each health care field, and discussions on how to manage the financials of health care education. All registered students will also be eligible for a chance to win one of the many prizes #HPW2018 is giving away throughout the week, including a $5,000 scholarship from SallieMae!
