Carolyn L. Kraft Scholarship
For current students in the College of Arts + Sciences who are pursuing a major in the fields of English or any of the biological sciences.
Award
One or more recipients will receive a $1000 award that will be applied to their cost of attendance for the 2018-2019 academic year.
This scholarship is renewable by maintaining a 3.400 GPA.
Eligibility
To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:
- have full-time undergraduate status in the College of Arts and Sciences
- be pursuing a major in the fields of English or any of the biological sciences
- have a current minimum cumulative GPA of 3.400

About the donors
Carolyn L. Kraft was initiated into Phi Beta Kappa and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from IU Bloomington in 1962. Prior to her 30 years as an advisor and administrator at Indiana University Southeast in New Albany, Indiana, the Donor was first a teacher at University High School, part of the K-12 laboratory school for the IUB School of Education, where her classes were regularly televised and broadcast to education students. The Donor’s family has a tradition of attending Indiana University Bloomington. Her late brother, Robert P. Kraft, Jr., M.D., received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry and Zoology in 1971. Her mother and maternal uncle received their IU degrees in 1936 and 1930 respectively.
