A Fresh Perspective on the End of the Cold War
Michael de Groot, assistant professor of foreign relations of the Russian Federation in the Hamilton Lugar School’s Department of International Studies, is writing a history of the end of the Cold War. Or, rather, he is rewriting the history of the end of the Cold War.
The Hamilton Lugar School welcomes three new faculty members
The Hamilton Lugar School of Global and International Studies at Indiana University continues its growth as one of the largest international affairs schools in the country by welcoming Michael De Groot, Wendy Leutert and Stacey Van Vleet to its roster of nearly 120 leading scholars and practitioners.
Tang Research Foundation extends support for Department of Central Eurasian Studies
For the last three years, the Tang Research Foundation (TRF) has supported faculty and graduate student exchange programs and annual international workshops on Silk Road studies between the Department of Central Eurasian Studies in the Hamilton Lugar School at Indiana University and the Department of History at Peking University.
Grant establishes Language Training Center at IU to train Department of Defense personnel
The Indiana University Hamilton Lugar School of Global and International Studies has announced a $970,000 grant to establish a Language Training Center program, which is administered by the Institute of International Education on behalf of the Defense Language and National Security Education Office.
