U Alumna Kathleen Tonkovich invites you to join the New Orleans Asylum Office as they host an Asylum Career Panel on Tuesday, April 20th from 3 to 4 PM. You’ll learn about what it’s like to adjudicate asylum cases and hear about upcoming job openings.

Virtual Student Foreign Policy Summit

oin us on April 23rd! The U.S Department of State’s Office of Public Liaison will host a Virtual Student Foreign Policy Summit, an effort to connect university and college students from across the country to hear from U.S. foreign policy practitioners.
Students will hear from experts in the Bureau of Oceans and International Environmental and Scientific Affairs, the Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration, and the Bureau of Global Talant Management.

Online Fulbright info sessions. Fulbright awards support study/research activities and place students as English Teaching Assistants in over 150 countries. These (identical) 30 minute info sessions will provide a brief overview of the program and relevant dates for the 2021 application process and is open to all students and alumni. Register via Zoom. Gilman-McCain Scholarship
The Gilman-McCain Scholarship is a congressionally funded initiative of the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs at the U.S. Department of State and named after the late senator John S. McCain from Arizona.
The Gilman-McCain Scholarship provides awards of $5,000 for child dependents of active duty service members to study or intern abroad on credit-bearing programs.

Next Generation Leadership Program
The Next Generation Leadership Program seeks to strengthen American democracy through broad participation in public service, diverse leadership, and constructive collaboration. NextGen Leadership works towards this aim by inspiring and preparing you to become a leader in your community and advance the public good throughout your career. Students who complete the NextGen Leadership Program will earn an e-certificate and a $500 scholarship.

The United Nations-Political Affairs Internship

Rotational Non-Profit Management Internship
Through this internship, you will receive robust training in a diverse range of WRI operations duties, including project financial management, grant and sub-agreement management, development and fundraising, finance and accounting, and human resources. Operations teams create the infrastructure that facilitates the success of WRI’s mission and are foundational to WRI being able to achieve impact.
