The IUPUI University Library Center for Digital Scholarship enriches the research capabilities of scholars at IUPUI, within Indiana communities, and beyond by:
– Digitally disseminating unique scholarship, data, and artifacts created by IUPUI faculty, students, staff and community partners;
– Advocating for the rights of authors, fair use, and open access to information and publications;
– Implementing and promoting best-practices for creation, description, preservation, sharing, and reuse of digital scholarship, data, and artifacts;
– Strategically applying research-supporting technologies;
– Teaching digital literacy.
IUPUI University Library Center for Digital Scholarship is seeking a graduate student to assist with the IUPUI Open Access policy workflow. The successful candidate will participate in the full range of processes related to IUPUI OA policy, including:
– identifying eligible articles,
– determining usage rights,
– corresponding with authors,
– creating metadata, and
– archiving documents.
Applicants should possess:
- A keen attention to detail
- Highly professional correspondence skills
- Basic metadata creation experience
- Ability to read, interpret, and make decisions based on copyright guidelines provided
- Ability to work within deadlines
- Interest in scholarly communication, open access, and/or institutional repositories
