We are looking for motivated seniors in chemistry, physics, materials science, chemical engineering, and other related fields, for our recently launched Masters program in Electrochemical Technology. In Fall 2023 we will be welcoming our fourth cohort. We have found many new graduates are looking for ways to be involved in the clean-energy transition. Our program has been highly effective at placing students into related industries. Our 2022 cohort have accepted job offers from Boeing, Cuberg, ESS, HRL, NEL Hydrogen, NREL, Nuvera Fuel Cells, Sila Nanotechnologies, Twelve, and QuantumScape, EnZinc, among others, with average compensation >$82,000 / year.
Students in our program complete 6 months of integrated electrochemistry science and engineering coursework and laboratories followed by a 9 month paid internship selected by the student. Details about the curriculum and application process are available at our website: https://electrochemistry.uoregon.edu/masters-internship-program/ .
We are happy to waive the application fee for interested students with a qualified background in science and engineering. Please send a pre-application described at https://electrochemistry.uoregon.edu/masters-internship-program/application-process/ to electrochemistry@uoregon.edu to receive a fee-waiver for the formal application process.
