Hourly Lab Assistant
Hours: 10-15 hours/week
Pay: $12-14.50/hour, depending on experience
We are looking for an Hourly Lab Assistant to help with an EPA funded project called the Integrated Atmospheric Deposition Network. In this project, we look at trace contaminants in vapor, particle and precipitation matrixes from samples taken from the Great Lake region. The current Principal Investigators of the project are Dr. Marta Venier and Dr. Amina Salamova.
Duties include glassware washing and prepping of experiments for laboratory work. The schedule is flexible: shifts between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. This project currently has funding until September 2024. This is a position that will require year round work; therefore, if you are not going to be on campus during the summer please do not apply.
The ideal candidate will have a background in Chemistry or Biology, be willing to work with chemicals and lab equipment, and must be dependable and willing to work with others. Previous experience in a college level chemistry/biology laboratory is required. The candidate will work under the supervision of Karen Arnold.
