UPDATE: all currently scheduled Service Learning projects (projects 5-8) have been cancelled.
Due to the developing COVID-19 situation, university administration has decided to shift IUPUI to a virtual classroom format until (minimally) April 6. During this time, the Service Learning program has been suspended. Projects 5-8, which were scheduled to take place before April 6, have been cancelled. Projects will be rescheduled if the situation permits. (more…)

Service Learning Project 7 Rescheduled to October 27
Due to the inclement weather forecast for Saturday, the Campus Tree Survey service learning project planned for October 26 has been cancelled.
The project has been rescheduled to its rain date: Sunday, October 27.
Currently, the planned meeting time remains as previously scheduled: 9:00 AM – 12:30 PM. The meeting time may change if the weather system slows down and the rain does not clear out by early Sunday morning. Check this post for updates.

Day of the Dead-Heading
The 2nd annual Day of the Dead-heading will take place on Saturday, November 2, at the Indiana State Museum grounds (and surrounding area).
Learn to dead-head (collect seed) from native wildflowers. Seed collected can be taken home to start your own wildflower garden or put in the “common basket” to be used to seed various local areas. (more…)

Ritchey Woods Creek Clean-Up Cancelled
The Service Learning project scheduled for October 11 at Ritchey Woods has been cancelled due to inclement weather. A large storm system will affect the region throughout the day.
There is no rain date for this project. Alternative arrangements will be made for project participants: inclusion in an existing project – or a new project may be added to the schedule.

Join CEES for a celebration of all things science!
Celebrate Science! – Indiana’s premiere science festival – takes place Saturday, October 5, at the Indianapolis Fairgrounds. CEES staff will be there to educate and enlighten about watersheds and aquatic biodiversity. (more…)
