Incorporating Sustainable Agriculture in the Classroom
Are you interested in sustainable agriculture? Soil conservation? Water quality? Wondering how to incorporate these topics in your Environmental Science and/or Earth Science curriculum?
Join us this summer to learn more about soil and water conservation and sustainable agriculture while earning 24 PD credits. CEES, in partnership with NRCS and TNC, is offering a workshop (July 18-20) that will provide curricula and training to help you incorporate the material in your classroom. Additionally, attendees will have the opportunity to visit Starkey Farm, a local farm in Brownsburg that employs sustainable agriculture practices and is the site of ongoing research concerning the impacts of conservation farming on soil and water.
Registrations will be taken in the order received.
NOTE: Space is limited. Participation for this particular workshop is restricted to Indiana teachers. Once seats are filled, a “waitlist” will be kept so that interested persons can be informed if an earlier registrant cancels prior to the event. Parking, as well as housing for those who need it, will be provided at no cost to participants.
