Wanted: Volunteer Butterfly Taggers. Science, Data, and Monarchs Await!
The annual tagging of the Monarchs will take place on Saturday, September 11, from 6:00-7:30 PM at the Monarch Sanctuary. Volunteers will meet at the National Institute for Fitness and Sport, then walk to the tagging area.
The Monarch Sanctuary is located on the east bank of the White River, just south of New York Street, and is one of the features along the Urban Wilderness Trail. No experience is necessary – all training in the art of carefully catching and tagging Monarchs will be provided.
For more information, see the Indiana Wildlife Federation page for the event.
