The 2018/2019 academic year has been a time of transition for CEES.
The Center bid farewell to its Education Specialist, Sam Ansaldi, who left the Center to pursue other opportunities. Sam is now the Director of Education at ITEC, an organization focused on STEM programming. (Congratulations Sam!)
After Sam’s departure, Leah Wood (a recent graduate of Ball State’s masters program in Environmental Science) took over delivery of the Discovering the Science of the Environment program while the Center undertook a formal search to fill the Education position. Leah is now a doctoral student in IUPUI’s Earth Sciences program, working with Gabe Filippelli. (Congratulations Leah!)
This summer, Virginia Ranly joined CEES as the Center’s new Education Coordinator. Gin has a master’s degree in environmental studies and brings a wealth of experience from her previous employment as an environmental educator in Philadelphia (Schuylkill Center for Enviromental Education) and, more recently, as a program coordinator for IDNR Division of Water. We at the Center are very excited to have Gin join the CEES team. Welcome Gin!
