It’s that time of year again: as the days grow longer and the vernal equinox approaches, mammalian sport in all its evolutionary glory emerges.
Mammal March Madness is a fun, educational game that follows the style of the (possibly more familiar) basketball version of March Madness. In MMM, critters compete in epic “battles” that pit suites of evolutionary adaptation against one another in a survival of the fittest. The game encourages students of all ages to learn about animals (’cause – despite the name – sometimes theses games aren’t just for mammals . . . . ) and the adaptations they display that suit them to their particular lifestyles, habitats, and evolutionary niches.
