In conjunction with the IUPUI Office of the Vice Chancellor of Research (“OVCR”), CEES hosted an “IUPUI Water Summit” that brought together water researchers from disciplines across campus with leaders in Indiana’s water community to learn more about water issues facing Indiana. The conference organizers included Bill Blomquist, Water Policy expert and Dean of the School of Liberal Arts, and Dominique Galli, Asssistant Vice Chancellor of Research (and microbiologist).
Speakers from IUPUI shared campus efforts including ongoing efforts in the School of Science, Liberal Arts, Law, Engineering Technology, and Public Health. Invited speakers covered issues from national/regional level down to local level and included BIll Guertal, Deputy Regional Director of Science MWR USGS; Mark Basch, DNR; Bruno Pigott, IDEM; and, Dan Moran, Citizens Engergy. Jill Reinhart, NRCS USDA and Jack Wittman, Intera joined our speakers on a panel moderated by Bill Blomquist.
