Career Coach Spotlight: Kelsey Darnell

Posted on April 19, 2019 by slheile

What was your major/minor/certificate?

B.S. Design, Housing, and Merchandising: Interior Design

M.S.Ed. Higher Education and Student Affairs

Why did you become a career coach?

I became a career coach because I  enjoy helping students discover what is most important to them and how those factors are important in career decisions.

What is your favorite part of being a career coach?

It is so great to meet students who I know are going to make a huge impact in their communities and our world someday.

Why should students come in for career coaching?

1) Because everyone at the CDC is the best! 2) The earlier you engage with the career development process, the easier it will be to make decisions regarding your career that you will inevitably have to make during the latter half of your college career.

Fun fact about you

I trained my cat to use the toilet with the CitiKitty. I highly encourage this for anyone who has cats or is considering getting a cat!!
