A sophomore here at IU, Ty’Shonae Hamilton is a newly decided Recreational Therapy major with a minor in Psychology. She also works for the IMU Market as a cashier, but that’s not all! She has a second part-time job (we know, impressive!) as a grader for a Public Health computer class.
“Being able to balance the many things that will be occurring in our lives after graduating is a very important factor to being successful in all areas of our lives.” Without a doubt, Ty’Shonae is honing those time management skills. She knows that working with people is also important and is developing those interpersonal and communication skills.
“[They are] fundamental to being able to deal with and communicate with the many types of people we may encounter in the workplace.” And we couldn’t agree more.
But while she works, Ty’Shonae is also benefiting. Both jobs offer her a flexibility which allows her to get the necessary work done while also getting good sleep and having a social life.
After she leaves IUB, she sees herself working in women’s health or obstetrics! We don’t doubt your capability and can’t wait to see what comes next!
