Nervous for an important interview coming up? IU’s Residential Programs and Services (RPS) Andi Wilson gave us a tip on the foods she suggests to eat before your big interview to calm the nerves and to keep your body fueled to get yourself the position. Of course eating is important to maintain daily functions, but what’s more important is what exactly you are eating. Andi’s list included:
- coffee
- healthy fats
- leafy vegetables
- lean proteins
- low-fat yogurt
- mixed nuts
- whole grains
If your interview is sometime in the morning, a cup of coffee and some eggs with a side of yogurt could be the way to go. If it is later in the day, a lunch could include a salad with optional white meats, fish, or avocado. These are just some hypothetical meals, you can mix and match all you want!
