Certain things just come naturally to some people. We all have known that person who comes to a few classes, doesn’t spend time at the library, but somehow does miraculously well on papers and presentations because of their amazing charisma. Don’t be discouraged because most of us are not that “lucky,” and that’s not really the type student to desire to be in the first place. You want to work hard to really build the skills necessary to succeed in your future career.

Highly regarded actor Will Smith even said, “I’ve never viewed myself as particular talented, but where I excel is ridiculous, sickening work ethic. You know, while the other guy’s sleeping, I’m working. While the other guys’ eating, I’m working…your talent is going to fail you if you’re not skilled…”

So maintain motivation, continue to do good work. Those skills are going to reward you far more than raw talent.
