In celebration of Women’s History Month Iyàlódè (e-yah-low-day) Productions kicks off its 6th annual Women of Color Arts & Film – WOCAF – Festival, with a lineup of programs from Thursday, March 25 2010, -Saturday, March 27, 2010.
The program of events will include a lecture/discussion segment, film screenings of over fifteen films by and/or about women of color, Q & A with filmmakers and a visual arts exhibition. The music component of the festival has been postponed until later on this year.
Over the years, the WOCAF Festival has presented its film and visual arts festival in collaboration with the Auburn Avenue Research Library on African American Culture & History (AARL) and this year it has expanded its community outreach to include films screenings at The Jimmy Carter Presidential Library & museum (JCL).
The festival is free and open to the public.
