MAAA students make a significant impact in the local community supporting local arts and culture organizations. The program prioritizes strong relationships with community and university partners to connect students with opportunities to explore arts administration in many different settings from performing arts, to visual art and public arts programs. As the map below highlights, our students are active participants in the extensive cultural fabric of Bloomington.
- In 2020-21 students completed 3500 hours of practical work
- The MAAA Program has 100+ local and regional arts partners
- 600+ alumni working across the country and globe
Internships
In Bloomington and beyond, MAAA students participate in robust internship positions to immerse themselves in the field, grow their skills, and establish a network to support employment opportunities post graduation. Thanks to the generous support of David and Cecile Wang, the program supports students’ internships with world class arts organizations across the country. See below to explore where some students interned during the Summer of 2021 and where students are working during Summer 2022!
