Dear IU Students,
It has been difficult to watch the news these past weeks and see the devastation of Harvey, Irma, and Maria on our country. I can only imagine how hard it must be for those of you who call Texas, Florida, and Puerto Rico home to watch from afar. I hope you have been able to stay in communication with your family and friends. We at Indiana University want to make sure you are getting the support you need here in Bloomington.
If you must return home and need assistance with managing your class absences, the Dean of Students Office can notify your instructors. The Student Advocates Office is also a helpful resource in this area. Additionally, if you would like to talk with a counselor, please contact Counseling and Psychological Service (CAPS) at (812) 855-5711. They can schedule a CAPS Now appointment for you to meet with a counselor within 48 hours.
We know these stressful situations impact everyone in different ways and at different times. Please reach out to us if there is anything you need during this difficult time. We are here to support you. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and all those impacted by the hurricanes.
