Celebrate EveryBODY Week is a campus-wide collaborative wake up call to examine the way you think and talk about your body. Here’s how you can get involved this year!
What else can you do?
- Set personal goals that have absolutely nothing to do with appearances. Instead of resolving to lose weight, resolve to join a student organization or make a new friend.
- Practice body neutrality. What’s that? Body neutrality is the mindful practice of examining what is, rather than making judgments about what’s good or bad when it comes to your appearance. Any physical mindfulness activity can help. Want to learn more about mindfulness? Try one of our Mindfulness Meditation classes!
- Diversify your social media feed for a wider content of bodies and representation.
- If you’d like to become involved with body activism year-round, consider joining the IU Body Project, a peer-led community that challenges unrealistic image expectations and promotes body acceptance activism by supporting each other. Email email@example.com for further information!
