Edward Glaeser, author of “Triumph of the City” and the Fred and Eleanor Glimp Professor of Economics at Harvard University, will speak at The Economic Club of Indiana’s luncheon Friday, March 16. The luncheon will take place from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the Indiana Convention Center, 100 S. Capitol Ave., Indianapolis.
Growing up in New York, Glaeser had easy access to what soon became his passion: determinants of city growth and the role of cities as centers of idea transmission. He has published dozens of papers as well as his book, “Triumph of the City.”
Tickets for members of The Economic Club of Indiana are $30; tickets for nonmembers are $35. They can be purchased online.
IU and IUPUI are platinum sponsors of The Economic Club of Indiana’s luncheon season. The Economic Club is proud to welcome many prominent state and national figures to the Indiana Convention Center stage to discuss issues and ideas that will help build a better future for the state of Indiana.
