Judy MacLoed, Commissioner of Conference USA, became the first (and so far only female) to be appointed commissioner of a football bowl subdivision (FBS) athletic conference on October 26, 2015. She has since become a role model and inspiration to girls and women. MacLeod has a long history in sports administration. She served as director of athletics at the University of Tulsa for 10 year, joined Conference USA in 2005 and served as executive associate commissioner, then chief operating officer before her current appointment.
